Blaupunkt Micronic 60 – A-60 / T-60 / C-60 – Exceptional Condition – Fully Overhauled

Small, distinctive and increasingly difficult to find in such beautiful condition: the Blaupunkt Micronic 60 is a complete component HiFi system from the early 1980s, combining genuine separate components with unusually compact dimensions.

Our system consists of the three matching components:

• Blaupunkt A-60 integrated amplifier
• Blaupunkt T-60 tuner
• Blaupunkt C-60 cassette deck

Cosmetically, the complete system is in exceptionally well-preserved condition. The silver front panels, controls, switches and lettering present beautifully and give the three components a remarkably coherent appearance.

Technically, the system has not merely been tested for basic operation: all three components have been fully overhauled.

The result is a particularly attractive example of this unusual Blaupunkt system, combining its distinctive early-1980s design with comprehensively refurbished electronics and mechanics.

Genuine Component HiFi in Miniature Form

The Micronic 60 is not a conventional compact stereo system with amplifier, tuner and cassette recorder combined in a single cabinet.

Instead, Blaupunkt designed it as a genuine separate-component HiFi system in miniature form.

Amplifier, tuner and cassette deck are housed separately and each component has its own controls and power supply. At only approximately 25 cm wide, however, the individual units remain remarkably compact.

This is precisely what makes the Micronic series so appealing today: visually it resembles a carefully miniaturised full-size HiFi system – because technically that is essentially what it is.

Its silver front panels, large rotary controls, slim switches and numerous LED indicators give the system an unmistakable early-1980s appearance.

Blaupunkt A-60 Integrated Amplifier

The A-60 forms the heart of the system.

Despite its compact dimensions, it is a genuine stereo integrated amplifier delivering 2 × 20 watts continuous into 4 ohms.

Its facilities include bass and treble controls, balance, loudness, volume control and a headphone output.

A particularly attractive feature is the two-channel LED power display running across the upper section of the front panel.

In operation, these illuminated displays contribute considerably to the distinctive character of the complete system.

Blaupunkt T-60 Tuner

The matching T-60 combines an analogue tuner with source-selection functions for the Micronic system.

It receives:

• FM
• MW
• LW

The FM tuning range extends from 87.5 to 108 MHz.

An LED signal-strength display assists with tuning, while a separate indicator shows stereo reception.

Source selection includes Tape, Aux and Phono, making the T-60 an important part of the complete system's operation.

The large tuning control and analogue scale are wonderfully characteristic of their period.

Blaupunkt C-60 Cassette Deck

The C-60 cassette deck is perhaps the most visually distinctive component of the system.

The cassette remains clearly visible in the large front opening, giving the deck an unusual appearance compared with the enclosed cassette compartments that later became standard.

The C-60 supports:

• Type I / Normal tape
• Type II / CrO₂
• Type IV / Metal

It also incorporates Dolby B noise reduction.

Further facilities include a two-channel LED recording-level display, mechanical tape counter, recording-level control, headphone output and microphone input.

Support for Metal tape in particular demonstrates that the C-60 was intended as a serious cassette recorder despite its remarkably compact dimensions.

Exceptional Cosmetic Condition

The condition of our system is one of its most attractive features.

All three components are exceptionally well preserved. Front panels, rotary controls, switches and lettering remain in beautiful condition and together form a remarkably attractive ensemble.

As a complete combination of A-60, T-60 and C-60, the Micronic 60 has almost become a small piece of early-1980s industrial design.

Fully Overhauled

With historical HiFi equipment, beautiful cosmetics are only part of the story.

For this reason, all three components of our Micronic 60 have been fully technically overhauled.

We therefore offer not simply an attractive vintage system that happens to function, but a technically refurbished set from our specialised workshop.

Our Conclusion

The Blaupunkt Micronic 60 is not a system one chooses simply for the highest possible power figures.

Its attraction lies in its unusual concept.

Blaupunkt reduced amplifier, tuner and cassette deck to remarkably compact dimensions without turning them into an ordinary all-in-one system. Instead, the Micronic 60 remained a genuine three-piece component HiFi system with a design that today perfectly evokes the early 1980s.

It becomes particularly appealing when all three matching components remain together – and when they have survived in condition as beautiful as this example.
