The Audio Physic Scorpio II is widely regarded as one of the most successful loudspeaker designs ever created by the renowned German manufacturer Audio Physic. When introduced, the Scorpio II attracted considerable attention by incorporating many of the technologies found in Audio Physic's higher-end models while delivering a level of performance usually associated with far more expensive loudspeakers.
A key feature is the use of four side-firing woofers per loudspeaker operating in a sophisticated push-push configuration. This arrangement effectively minimises cabinet resonances while providing impressive bass precision and remarkable low-frequency extension.
The midrange section employs Audio Physic's Hyper-Holographic Cone driver, specifically developed to enhance spatial realism and three-dimensional imaging. A refined soft-dome tweeter completes the system, delivering excellent resolution and natural detail retrieval.
Sonically, the Scorpio II is particularly admired for its extraordinary soundstage and its ability to disappear completely within the listening room. Vocals are reproduced with remarkable presence and realism, instruments are precisely focused and the depth of the soundstage is truly exceptional.

Our Verdict
The Audio Physic Scorpio II is one of those rare loudspeakers that effortlessly combines precision, musicality and realism. Its remarkable spatial performance and natural presentation continue to make it one of the most desirable loudspeakers in its class.
The A1 arrived safely with me. The device was really well packaged by you and is visually in perfect condition for its age! In the meantime I have carried out some listening tests (with my rather modest components: Nuber nuWave floorstanding speakers, Dual 704 with Vinylmaster Silver and Technics Sl 1500 with Goldring IGC 910). In comparison, my Yamaha A-960, which has also been overhauled, can't keep up. The A1 reproduces the sounds extremely cleanly and precisely with great depth and pleasant dynamics, really great sound! More quality than I expected.
